I buy stuff when I am feeling down, or when I truly need it. This time, it was the latter – or so I thought. At first, I simply needed underwear. And when I say "needed," I truly did.
I went to a multi-brand shop situated in the biggest mall in Prague. Even though shopping isn’t my favorite activity, I dedicated 30 minutes of my busy schedule to it. And while I would have preferred to delegate this task to someone else, no one suitable was available.
Men tend to buy what excites them rather than what is comfortable, but their enthusiasm can be contagious and make the process more enjoyable. As a result, the pleasure of wearing the item is enhanced by the experience of the one choosing it.
Frequently, I am asked whether I wear leather underwear. The reality is that I have yet to find a comfortable and appealing one. Besides, no one sees my underwear anyway, so I prioritize my comfort above all else.
I found the underwear section and browsed through the options until I found a few that I liked. I made sure to choose styles that were both comfortable and suited my personal taste.
As I headed toward the cashier, I unexpectedly noticed the men's shirts section, which piqued my curiosity. Without hesitation, I found myself drawn to explore this area.
“Madam, do you know you are trying on a men's shirt?”
"Yes," I replied.
“Do you know we have a women's section with women's shirts over there?”
“I do, thank you.”
The saleswoman was clearly not comfortable. Why? I asked myself. The white button-up summer man slim fit shirt fit me perfectly. It wasn’t a perfect match with my leather dress and heels, but it wasn’t supposed to fit together. I felt good, empowered, sexy. Everything that a women's shirt wouldn’t be able to provide me.
I turned back to the saleswoman, saying;
“I much prefer to wear a man's shirt. It empowers me. I feel like being equal to men, or maybe even greater. Don’t you think it fits me?”
She scanned me from head to toe and admiringly admitted, “Indeed, I can feel you feeling great.”
Suddenly, her energy shifted. She no longer felt uneasy and her smile brightened as she kindly offered to take the shirt to the cashier so I could continue shopping. I expressed my gratitude and let her know that I had everything I needed.
Leaving the shop, I was already envisioning the perfect combination of my new white shirt with leather pants and heels. I couldn't help but think about the man in front of me during the coaching session, impeccably dressed in a well-fitted suit and a white shirt…
What was once a mandatory boring task has finally become an exciting experience!
A crisp white shirt to black - or red - leather trousers, is a very good look and projects confidence; an aura of self confidence that I find very appealing. Thumbs up!
